Recently a bank customer asked me: “Is my money safe in Profinium?” This question is probably on the minds of other customers considering the current state of the economy and all the questions about banking in the media. I’m happy to give an update about what’s happening at Profinium.

As I told that customer: “thanks for asking. Your trust and confidence in our bank are extremely important to us. Let me assure you that your money is safe with us. We’re strongly capitalized with over $34 million in capital and reserves for your protection and your deposits are insured by the FDIC to at least $250,000 per individual.” (There are ways for joint accounts to have even higher coverage).

I love working at Profinium and being part of this vibrant banking organization. We have an extraordinary group of bank employees who are committed to your success and to Profinium’s success. Our customers continually tell us that Profinium is a great place to have a banking relationship. We have a clear vision and excellent plan for the future. We are very excited about the opportunities available to us in the current banking environment.

Like most businesses in this economy we’ve experienced a few challenges, but they are identified and we have detailed action plans in place to address them; with significant progress achieved so far this year. Like many Minnesota banks, we participated in some loans that have been negatively impacted by the economy. We have returned to our core strengths of growing our existing relationships with more traditional lending in local markets that we know well.
